Phnom Penh, 24 August 2022, Institute of Digital Technology, Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology organizing a workshop training on “Pedagogy of Blended Learning for New Academy Year” that aims to understand the current status of our learning and teaching model (blended learning). Hosted at IDT building room 104, this program is initiated by IDT management and also the gathering for lecturers to provide a reflection on the current model and improve the lesson plan for the new academic year.
Blended Learning is the method of teaching and learning approach that IDT has defined and implemented since 2019. However the implementation still got some issues that need to address quickly, so with this gathering, IDT is working to resolve them through collaboration from lecturers, researchers, and research assistants that currently teach in the institute.
The workshop is presided over by HE. Mr. Hean Samboeun, vice president of CADT about “The Important of Pedagogy and Blended Learning” which gave the lecturers insight into using the blended learning method efficiently. Since they have not yet wholly applied it, there is no common standard, and some lecturers are not clear on how to use the method yet.
For the new academic year, IDT wants to take this opportunity to strengthen its blended learning and teaching approach as well as introduce moodle LMS usage. Through the contribution of the support team, we were able to share best practices and lesson-learned on teaching and learning to modify the lesson plan.
IDT is striving to become a leading institute in providing comprehensive training and curriculum to nurture the young talent in the next generation of digital technology. This workshop serves to encourage the lecturers to gain more experience and knowledge of teaching and learning while getting updated lesson plans corresponding to the digital transformation era.
